Centaurus Energy Inc., a Calgary-based oil and gas company, has announced a major strategic pivot from energy operations to cryptocurrency investments, including assets like Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL). In a Jan. 8 statement , the company unveiled plans to discontinue its traditional business activities and rebrand as a Tier 2 Investment Issuer under the new name "Layer One Inc." with the trading symbol "LAYR." To support this strategic shift, Centaurus plans to secure up to $25 million in financing. "We are excited to complete the final steps in Centaurus' Proposed Change of Business, with our primary focus on strategic investment in physical and digital commodities,” David D.
